im havin trouble with mess emulator for atari 5200, 7800, colevision

im having problems with mess emulator for my atari and colevision, i did what i did with the rest of the emulator but on this one they dont work. they go black screen and gameex brings me back to gameex again. i need help

For the 7800 I use the "Prosystem" it seems to work well.

Are you able to run the Games through Mess without GameEx? It has been a while since I configured Mess for the 5200 but I think I had to setup Mess first.

Here is the command line I use in GameEx to launch my Atari 5200 through Mess.

mess.exe a5200 -cart "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui

I use Colecovision too so I may be able to help there if these work for you. Only difference is I use the GUI version instead of mess.exe (messui.exe)

I have all 4 of them working on my cabinet in MESS.. and they work very good, along with several other systems under MESS as well. MESS is very good, but does take a little extra to set-up. Some of the systems require the BIOS file to be placed in to a seperate folder, then you have to tell MESS where it is.

I strongly suggest configuring MESS outside of GameEx for every system, then test it in GameEx once you know it works.

The hardest system to set-up was the Vectrex, getting all the backdrops to work properly was tough. But it's all doable with MESS.

allright i'll try the new command line "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui and i'll try to use the gui version of mess and my configuration its fine i think the command line was the problem but i'll let you know guys. and thank for the help

yeah yeah it work with the command -cart "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui its work just fine. so for coleco vision i just add -col "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" -joy -now -nonewui ?. right it work on the atari 5200. thank again guys for all the help, i wish i knew something that you guys dont but im the new guy. so thanks again

Please read forum rules here! Asking where to find ROM's is not allowed. As far as the list of Adult games, you can do a search over at MAWS under mature in the category section.
