Thank you very much to the mods who have been helping clear off the spam from the forum. Its been a real battle last few days.

Ive requested an upgrade for the forum software as the latest version has special features for spam control which we will be taking adantage of.

You can see the problems if you try and send more than one pm. It gives an error saying you have to wait a few hours before you can send another. I believe it was implmented afer a mass spam pm. I thought you knew about it.

You guys are quick; whenever I go to delete a reported spam it's gone lol. I've cleared away a few spam infestations though - some with 20 odd posts. Those spam bots are getting smarter.

Just spent the morning working on this actually... I can't figure out how to ban members or else I would do more than just delete posts.

Any advice or anything I'm missing? I'll test it out on Tempest.

.:EDIT:. Aww, guess I have to be Admin to do this. Oh well. *shrugs* I'll just PM you if I come across any more.

You can ban members Adultery, when you view the members profile click on the little red icon next to "Warn" which is in the "Personal Info" panel on the left. From there you can set to "Disable indefinitely" their posting ability.

Im not too sure what to think either. Im just checking it out now.

Ill be doing some customizations shortly. Got to get the ads and search back anyway.

The problem when you upgrade is you loose all the skin settings.

Dont see any spam though, so thats good.

I must say i like the new look! It's neat to see the profile picture in the upper right, unnecessary, but neat!

One quick question: Will the IPBoard be replaced with the Gameex logo?

oh and i think quotes are visually less clear displayed than before! But in general it's a great upgrade! Congrats and I hope this is the end of spamming on this forum!

I still have not made my mind up on the new version yet. I think its probably better, but it will take some getting used to.

Once I find my around, ill be replacing the logo with the Spesoft one, etc.

I never particular used quick reply, but there is a reply, add reply, and if you scroll to the bottom a fast reply box already there.
