Thank you Tom, Thank you Ben.

These are great updates and it is always so encouraging to see Gameex continue to evolve after all these years. It takes quite an amout of dedication and passion to continue the way you do. It's funny just when you think gameex can do it all another feature gets added.

I highly recommend anyone on the fence about donating to go ahead and donate and show some appreciation for all the hard work that goes into this project.

Thank you for your time and as always the wonderful updates

Not to mention my ideas for those software updates to GameEx DBM. ;)

And don't forget Mario. He's saved our asses numerous times. :)

Good point and for a while there I was posting updates to DBM into the Database thread but have not done so for a while. I should probably do that again so people can see things are still moving along. There have been alot of updates to DBM since the project started and a number of more recent updates stemming from Lawrence's feedback.

Flash has also helped make DBM much more efficient and easier to use over the past year since the project began. So I think it's worth a mention as there is alot going on "behind the scenes" to make the databases a reality. There is still alot of work to be done, but I think it's one of the greatest features in GameEx so very much worth the effort IMHO.

Woah, I'm way behind in updates now. Time to catch up.

Thanks for your tireless work on the product. This gets patched and improved way more than most commercial products.

I just updated my cab -- using the proper method to download the updated databases... They're the same, not the new ones.

Thats odd. Its working fine for me.

Here's a way to verify... Go into WonderSwan Color (I'm hoping you have this system on your cab, Tom) go to Final Fantasy II (again hoping you have that) -- does it say "Gameboy" on the first line of the description? If so then it's the old database.

Another test -- Atari 8-bit Donkey Kong. No description, old database. If a description is present it's the new one.

Just went snooping in my GameEx directories to check the timestamps. Found something interesting. Both the old and the new databases are there -- in separate locations.

C:\GameEx\DATA\EMULATORS

Contains the old databases.

And:

C:\GameEx\DATA\EMULATORS\Emulator Databases

Contains the new.

Looks like the installer is copying the newly downloaded databases to the wrong area.

Yeah my bad, I zipped up the file incorrectly. Its fixed now. Thanks for letting me know.

So I guess this means everyone who has already updated the databases will either need to do so again, or manually move the files (I just did that myself).

Again, sorry about this guys. I do really appreciate it, honestly! As do all who use the dbases.
