joystick not working

New update... joystick no longer working. Verified configuration and nothing has changed yet I have no movement in Gameex. Something to do with 10.01

You can't upload all file extensions. txt and zip work though. It would be best if you modified your last post to change the content to a gameex.ini.txt file or something. I'll glance at your log in a second.

UPDATE: Okay, it looks like GameEx is detecting 2 joysticks connected to your system. Are you using custom inputs? It looks like it should work. I see that you have custom inputs turned on but custom joystick input turned off. It also looks like custom keyboard input might not be turned on. If so, then perhaps GameEx is getting confused as to what it should be using? Stab in the dark...

Sorry about that long post guys, I was thinking it may have been a long post

Interesting thing, I have two custominput.ini files? I did a search within the GameEx directory and found the attached two files. One with a date of 6/16/08 and one with a date from yesterday (when the problem occurred) I'm thinking this may just be a simple fix where I delete one of the .ini files, but its weird because I haven't made any changes to my configuration in quite some time...

BK- Yes I am using custom inputs, but not using joysticks... I should clarify this a bit more guys, when I mean joystick, I'm talking about my tankstick joysticks and what not. I can tap a button during the intro to bypass it, but any movement within me menu's is non existent, with the exception of the button I have routed for escape. I have verified they are working in notepad...

**EDIT** Rechecked, and it appears that the 2nd customconfig.ini was from backup I did last year, so Gameex should be looking at only one file. ALSO Tom, I think you just implemented another update today and now it plays about a second of my intro video and then goes right into the main menu.

Ok, so you aren't having a problem with joystick input, you are saying your joystick stopped working (semantics...). Anyway, you are having a problem with your setup that uses a keyboard encoder and custom keyboard inputs in GameEx. See, that's a different question

Tom - Did you happen to catch anything yet? I can't seem to find anything causing it to do what it is doing. On my tankstick, I only use the joystick directional, select, back and esc keys while in gameex. So far, the only key which seems to work for me is the esc key. With this said, I can use the track ball as a mouse, but what I have noticed is that when I highlight one of the menu items, it automatically scrolls back up, regardless of what menu I'm in... almost as if its stuck in the up position. I can post a video if it will help clarify my issue.

Sounds like some other device is interfering. Have you tried unplugging all other gamepads etc?
