Hi, everybody, i know gameex long time ago, and i have it in my arcade cabinet. But i am crazy to do game ex to launch at start up las played game. ¿is it posible? ¿how?. The only thing i can see is to show in the list, the last played game but nothing more.

Thank you

One way that may work for you is to set GameEx up to launch the "runitgame.bat" file on startup. That should work, but it may need some tweaking.

I told you how to do it. There are much more complicated ways that could probably be developed, but this is the easiest. There is no way built in to GameEx. Guess my method wasn't what you were hoping for.

Sorry, i thank a lot your help. Problem is i don´t understand it very well. Do i have to create a bat file? the question is that i don´t know how to. I was just wondering if there is and easy option to chenge to "yes" in some menu. Thanks a lot again for your time

No, there is no check box to change in GameEx that will make this work. There is a batch file that GameEx already creates that is linked in the start menu called "Run Last Game.bat". By default, this file is located in "C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\runitgame.bat". If you installed GameEx somewhere else, you will need to find it in that installation location.

All you need to do is open up the Setup Wizard and find the "Launch at startup" item and add the location to that batch file in that field. DONE! :D

i have tried it and doesn´t work. If i click manually the bat file works perfect, but gamex ex crashes at the start up. This is the error that yhe log file shows:

Ya, that is probably not going to work. MAME and Gameex are trying to fight for fullscreen and priority. When gameex launches a game normaily it minimizes itself and HideOS.exe is loaded already etc. These are launching at the same time.

If it were me. Id just make an autohotkey file that looks like

RunWait, runlastgame.bat

run, gameex.exe

then Id compile it and instead of running gameex.exe to launch gameex you run this file instead. Then your last game will run and when you exit gameex wil load.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Works perfect!!!!! :):):):);)

If you could hide desktop, will be amazing.

I think this is a good idea to create a more real sensation of real arcade, as they only had one game. Power on arcade cabinet, and the game appears, as it was on real arcades. When you want to change that game, game ex is the menu to do it.

Try this one. Let me know if it seems better.
