I want a solution for .net error please

Hi everybody. First of all, i want to say tha Gameex is the best frontend i have ever seen. I dont discover another one with the same caracteristics of this.

My proble is that in one of my pc, i have installed the .net framework 2.0, and everytime i try to run gameex, i have that message:

13:58:40.2 04/11/2005: This can be caused by a bad windows or .net framework install.

13:58:40.2 04/11/2005: GameEx will likely function incorrectly as it cannot check for running processes

13:58:40.2 04/11/2005: GameEx will now exit with errors

13:58:40.2 04/11/2005: Error definido por la aplicación o por el objeto.

13:58:40.2 04/11/2005: ERRORS DETECTED: EXITING

I search in the forum, and is not an answer to the problem, but i know that tom is informed of that error.

I tried to unistall the 2.0 framework, but it still the same error. I don´t know what the error is, but i think is not for framework installation, because if its not installed, it continues apperaring.

Please, i love this front end, can you lend me a solution. please. some help. What can i do to solve this problem in my pc?

Hi,

This comes up once in a while. I only have three suggestions.

1. Remove version 2.0 of the framework and install 1.1

2. If this does not work try to repair the application using the framework tools in control panel (1.1)

3. Only other known solution, is to rebuild the PC and try again.

3 solution is not posible. I don´t want to rebuild pc to install it. And in my opinion is not a valid solution, i think the program can run in framework 2.0 if you want, of course.

1 is valid. GameEx does not use version 2.0 even if its installed, it will only use version 1.0 or version 1.1 .Net programs only run on the framework they were designed for so please download and install 1.1

2 In control panel in windows theres a program for administrating .net framework applications. It might be under Admin tools. Open that up and somewhere theres an option to repair a program.

3 Sorry you might have to. Nope it does not use framework 2.0 at all whether its installed or not. It will only use 1.0 or 1.1. So if you have not installed 1.1 then GameEx is running off 1.0.

I tryed to unistall version 2.0 of framework and i have the same error message at gameex start. Belive me please. I thinks is a registry entry that make gameex "think" that 2.0 is intalled, or something similar.

I haven´t the admin tools to repair 1.1 .net framework in my control panel. My windows version is spanish, i think its the reason. Can i download this admin tools for somewhere?
