Hey there,

I'll try to be as brief as possible. I recently purchased the ATI Remote Wonder (original, not the plus or RW 2). I installed it with the newest drivers on Windows MCE 2005, and everything seems to be working fine. This remote has 6 programmable keys - A, B, C, D, E, F. I set button C to "BACKSPACE" and button D to "ESCAPE". I have also programmed the # keys to save/load states in each of my emulators. This works, but seems to have problems. For instance, when I am viewing a Divx movie, sometimes I have to press button C several times before it will exit the video. I have not had a single problem with VisualBoy Advance, but ZSNES does not recognize when I press a button for save states or try to exit the emulator. All of these commands work perfectly when I use a regular keyboard.

Here are some of the things I have tried:

1. I've used two remote control programming software options - RW KeyMaster/RW KeyFactory and Remote Wonder Keymapper. Both of these produce the same results.

2. I have tried turning keyboard direct input on to see if that would help, but it simply disabled all controls in GameEx

3. I also have a Saitek P2900 Wireless controller with programming software - I completely uninstalled this software but it did not help

I have noticed that when I installed the Saitek software, it installed drivers for a virtual keyboard/mouse, but the Remote Wonder did not do this. All of the software that I've found for the RW is simply a small app that runs in the system tray.

Any help would be appreciated. If this isn't the remote for me, then maybe I can look at other options.
