getting emulators to run on a psp

im struggling with installing emulators,,

when i try to install all i get is corrupted data error,

ive been told i need a hacked firmware but it wont install that as i get the same error message,,

any ideas guys,,

it would be cool to have gameex on it

Yeah, to run any custom/homebrew software on the PSP you do need to flash it with a hacked / custom firmware. I think that the first point of call is searching google and reading up on custom firmwares for your PSP. (like "how to install PSP custom firmware")

Find out what firmware you are currently running. Search google to then see if people have managed to flash that version without any additional hardware/UMD's and what the success rate is. There are a lot of guides available and most have links to all the files you need.

If you have found the emulators for the PSP then you are probably just around the corner from the custom firmware downloads.

Definitely read up on the modified firmwares... If you decide to go ahead with it then follow the instructions to the letter. Make sure your PSP meets all the pre-requisites and download all the files that you need before starting.

Oh... and btw... Theres NO chance of GameEx being ported to the PSP

If you have a friend with custom firmware, you can use their PSP to make a battery "pandora". Then, using some files off the net and a little command prompt, you can make a magic memory stick. All for free. Don't waste your money on b.s. your only going to use once. GameEx won't run on it like DamageCase said but, there is a MAME program that will. I play MAME on the go as well.

but i could do with the magicstick info if u have to hand as i got a 4gbsd for the psp but i dont trust sites for downloading vital firmware and emulators,,ive got all the roms i need but if u want to send me the firmware and instructions i would much appreciate that thanx in advance i will send u my email

You should be set. You can use that first program to make the memory stick in your PC, just need to add the firmware files in the instructions.

i now have the pandora battery and succesfully installed firmware 3,80 m33-5

i hope its the right firmware

ive got the firmware 5,00 m33-6 on the psp now

ive got snes and mastersystem and gamegear working fine

but i cant find a megadrive or n64 emulator that works

ive tried picodrive and all i get is

thi game cannot be started (800blah blah)

any ideas
