Aimed more at the pinball enthusiasts:

The U-HID family has a new addition, the U-HID-G.

This has a 3-axis accelerometer on-board. In addition to the normal U-HID nano port with its 8 inputs, configurable as analog, button, key, or encoder, the 3-axis accelerometer sends data which emulates an analog gamepad stick, with X and Y axes, plus an additional Z axis.

The board can also be configured in "nudge" mode, where moving the board in any of the 6 possible directions will send a button or keycode signal. The sensitivity and offset are fully configurable.

This mode can also be adjusted to send continuous button presses depending on the fixed orientation of the board.

A couple of other updates: we now have a third-party Linux / OSX utility for controlling outputs (LEDs) on the U-HID. Also Linux / OSX utility for downloading maps to the Ultrastik 360.

OH yeh babby know i need that ........ Ill be ordering that asap ...

Now idealy iff game ex could do this it would be prefect :

The abilty to disable / enable Certain buttons for say Pinball. So that if you switch to a pin ball emulator the Device would then actvate via a command allowing it to switch on the tilt buttons and then when leaving the pin ball emulator turn them back off as not to interfeace with other prorams ......

nice little option there.

You can do that with a "also launch" command. The U-HID device has been around for around a year now, so it's been used in quite a few systems. I would get one, but I don't need it for anything. I saw the new accelerometer units the other day when looking for it's big brother and it does look cool! I wonder how well it would work for detecting bumps and tilts for pinball emulation. That would be pretty cool if it did work!

Mayhem if you use an Advanced Config you could block the tilt keys for certain emulators.

Also just so you know the LED controller built into the U-HID is compatible with my PlugInLCD plugin for lighting up buttons.

I was just looking at the front page over at BYOAC and noticed there's an old school method for making a pinball tilt/bump mechanism for <$10USD. Basically it's a easily available Radio Shack item that detects a shock. I'm not against using the U-HID-G, but this seems like it might work well for what you want and it would be a MUCH easier and cheaper way to get the same effect.

Your build is already so over the top anyway, it would be silly to save a few dollars now. :P

Besides, it's a new product that sounds awesome!
