Bezel Missing

I tried changing my Bezel with a custom one, and never could get it to work. Now I'm unable to use the default GE one. I just get black borders. I tried deleteing any border pics and files and letting GE reinstall those. No luck. Still no border. I've made sure it's on in the config app. Anything I could be over looking?

Hmm... You try using one of the bezels that HK or I posted in the Themes and Media thread and see if that works? You may have to delete the zip files that GameEx creates with the artwork in them also.

I can up mine if you want to try them and see if they work.

Thats how I got into this mess. Trying the Bezels you and HK made. The only way the border will show now is if I go into mame settings via. tab and turn it on. Otherwise I just get black borders. I'm tempted to just format my cab and start over. I'm sure it could use it.

Take a look in mame.ini make sure they are enabled

Also there are some video modes you can try. I prefer Direct3d but you can try DirectDraw

Just change "d3d" to "ddraw" or "gdi". I wouldn't use gdi though.

Now the Bezel won't show when the screensaver is running. DOH!

Bah! Still not working correctly. The bezel will now show only after I go into mame setting as choose it. Then after that, it will show any time i play that particular game.

If you have set each game to not show the bezel, then you will have to change that for each game to get them to show again. On the up side, these should all be located in the ini file for each rom, so you could use a batch search and replace to change it's setting. Or, you might opt to remove the setting from the files using the same batch process. Either way would work.
