GameEX with Hanaho Controller help

Well I am working on this cab, the Arcade PC that I aquired without the PC....

So far I am using a P4 with 2 gigs ram, and a fx 5500, 150 gig HD. Got everything up and running, misus the controls withen GameEX.

I have played around with the settings, and finnaly got some of the keys to work like I wish, but it seems awfully slow.

Anyone have any ideas to get this to work?

Easiest thing to do would be to use GameEx Setup Wizard and browse to the Keyboard Input section and define your keys there.

Did that, but there was no listing for the Left Alt key.. tho I think there was a typo, and labled it a menu key. Still working on it, tho now I think I might have messed up the repeat values for the keys, wont let me hit the keys repeatedly, takes a 3 sec pause to navigate. googleing now

Got it working.. everything is smooth minus one thing...

No control over the Left Alt key, no mapping for it in my codes, or maybe its laid out differnt then ALT... Any Idea's?

I tried mapping the Left Alt key which is mapped to LMenu as well but get no results. Only other solution is to map the Left Alt key to something else. Tom would have to look into this or maybe someone else has a better solution.

Justg quickly looked at this, and saw "awfully slow" and "Geforce 5500". Not the old nvidia driver issue chestnut is it?

PS I believe LeftMenu (Left Alt) is code 56, no?

Chriss, he's talking about custom controls. The default controls are mapped out for X-Arcade.

thats weird... I use an x-arcade with gameex and the second button is Left Alt. The button works on my end. I defined the keys myself and right now I use it for Alpha Paging.

What I did notice it seems it steels focus from GameEx when its windowed.

Anothter thing, by the look of the layout, you shouldnt even need to use custom controls. Looks like the default controls to me.

OH I see, you want to change it. Well you wont be able to have seperate volume keys just via configuration with gameex. Yourll need some other app to do that, along with mute. For the escape key to be player two, yourll need to set than in mame then have custom emulator configs, or use another app to make it send escape.

tried placing 56 as Back, and it enters it as select, still no love, everythng else is perfect. Guess I just have to use the home key.

Is this related to direct input? I had problems with it turned on.

Direct Input is always on if its using custom controls.
