.. but I'm super tired and have spent about 2+ hours configuring GameEx for the first time to set it up with the emulators I have. My question is: Is there a way to map certain keys on my xbox360 controller to exit the emulators instead of hitting escape? I'd like it to be a global setting, but I can't seem to figure it out. I've read the faq and i don't think it's in there.

Like I said, however, Im really tired and I just want to get this one last issue resolved before I go to sleep. Thank you all.

Im not 100% sure but I never configured anything and my GameEx behaves this way. Inside any emulator, using an Xbox 360 controller, I press and hold both bumper buttons, Y, A, and push the left analog stick to the up/left direction. It quits any program it launched.

You edit the advanced configuration file. Its a registered version feature.

I have a 360 controller and I use XPadder in combination with GameEx. Works wonders.

I'm doing the same except I'm using a Wireless 360 controller and Pinnacle Game Profiler. I've never tried using GameEx feature to try what your doing as Pinnacle does so much more things and each game/emulator can be configured the way I want.

Ah yes, Pinnacle is pretty powerful.

It might help to go to the control panel and check out the game controller to see what buttons on the controller are mapped to button numbers in windows.

By default the combination to exit is:

Buttons 1,4,5,6 with Left-Up

You dont have to setup an advanced config or do anything else unless you want to change that.

Yeah, I saw the article once I woke up this morning. The problem is, is that I've pressed every combination possible, and nothing seems to take... out of curiosity, what ini file do I have to edit/reset to enable this feature?

I'm working with Pinnacle now, I'll see how that goes...

You just need to set the map keys setting for the emulator as far as I know. If an advanced config is set it might override it though.

Got a workaround, thanks!

I mapped the ESC key to the 10 button that I never use.
