screen flickering or black after exiting game

Hi all... got everything working really great with Mame,Daphne, Nebula and CPS3 emulator.

The problem I'm running into is that I select a game... it loads fine, plays fine... but when I exit the Game Ex interface is often black or flickering. When it's black I can still navigate and sometimes switching a few screens will fix the problem.

I'm wondering if there's any video settings I can modify to prevent this.

I don't understand Will. Does the screen flicker when you exit GE to Desktop?

sorry no... game ex flickers but it only does so after returning from an emulator. I must presume it's something to do with resolution changes or some similar display issue.

oddly enough the screen does not go black or flicker when returning from the attract mode.

I'm gonna try some lower settings on some of the video stuff to see if that helps.

Is this for MAME or only for other apps/emulators? There is a hide desktop option that could cause this, but it shouldn't be a problem for MAME. If that's when you see the problem, I would also guess resolution changes. Can you post a log from when you see the problem?

Thanks for the replies everyone... It's fixed now and it was either snap/video delay which I had set to the second highest setting or menu transitions which I had set to 3d. I'm willing to bet it was snap/video delay since no snaps load when gameex first initializes. Anyhoo it all works now and it's awesome!

ps. this was happening with exiting any emulator back into Game Ex.
