Has anyone else ever had gameex always saying there is an update available? I've applied it numerous times in a row and it still reboots to "Update available "

I did once. I re-downloaded and installed GameEx through the site instead of the auto update and the problem went away. Try it out! :)

I keep having this issue too. I have manually downloaded the update and it stops trying to auto update but once a new version is out the problem is back.

Auto Update hasn't worked for me in several versions. Seems I have to go to the GameEx page and download it from there every time a revision comes out. No big deal for me, it would be cooler if it did it itself though. :)

I don't know if this will help or not... I noticed the other day (when I had this problem) that there is an autoupdate directory where GameEx downloads the new version to. It also keeps a file (C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\AutoUpdate\Config.ini) that should tell GameEx what to do. Here's the contents of an example:

[SETTINGS]
Update=False
NoThemes=True
Version=

Perhaps there is an issue with this file on your system. I noticed that the version was 10.04 the other day, but now it's blank. I don't know what it should be, but if you delete the file, it might force GameEx to recreate it. Like I said, I don't know if this will screw anything up, so BBW!

Simply restart you Sys and the Update work... ;)
