I remember last time there was a poll on BYOAC about voting for your favourite FE I made a post on here asking people to vote for GameEx. I copped a bit of flack from a certain FE author saying it was unfair to do that. Well the same guy who said that is doing the same thing on his forums now! In my opinion the numbers don't add up right so I had a look around and sure enough there were several FE's asking people to vote on their forums. So I reakon to make it a little more fair on us that I should now ask you to vote for your favourite FE. We were No.1 last time so now if we even up the odds a bit with our fans we might make it to No. 1 again.

So let's show Tom our appreciation and vote GameEx No. 1!

That was a no brainer. MaLa is leading at the time of this post, and as far as FEs go it's a joke! GameEx puts that app to shame. ;)

To be honest each FE has it Pluses and Negatives. I personly like nearly all of them as far as im concerned each one bring some thing different to the table and ups the game with each new innovation.

I love Gameex the best though must admit but HS and mala again are both quite conventional and handy for different builds or PC set ups.

Popularity polls like this only prove how insecure some one is over there own proposals. Personly it should be a Question . What would you like to see incorporated in a FE !!! ect ect not which is the best as this is just fan boy trash talk ...

I think the reason Hoopz started the poll is because everyone was sick of people posting "whats the best FE" all the time. I'm a regular over there and I know I was sick of those posts. So the poll is a good idea IMHO and infact cuts down the trash talk because people look at the poll instead of having to listen to the same replies from the same people all the time.

Isn't it more a measure of the number of users of a FE that use the BYOAC forums (or another forum that points to that thread) than it is of the actual popularity of a specific FE? There's lots of people who use GameEx (or any other FE) that never visit the forum. If they don't see the thread, then they won't vote. Either way, I think it's useful to know what people use since noobs need to have an idea of what to try.

Th only thing I would add to what BKenobi said, is its quite ironic how active this forum is compared to the BYOAC software forum. We had at least 35 posts yesterday alone. I think last time this happened GameEx was described as a cult. lol ;)

You know I just looked at the stats for last month, and we're still getting overt 8,000 "new" downloads a month.

I wonder how many of those continue to use it as there favorite front end.
