Ok guys, I know I haven't been around much lately but that is a whole lot more due to work, family, holidays than anything else. I just wanted to make clear, that has nothing to doe with the website going down, I basically just outgrew my service and I think it pissed them off a bit. So while it was just a BIT more expensive I am already transferring to a new host.

Currently even though the main site is down the FTP is still running, that will last up until the domain has transferred which shouldn't be long, but I have already transferred the bulk of the main site and will start the transfer of the Subscription FTP tomorrow. So we should be completely up and running by the weekend.

That's the good news.

Now for the Bad news (Kinda)

FTP Accounts.... Ugh

Ok everyone should be recieving a new email confirmation with new logins and passwords, I will have to do this by hand but at least I have my Admin to help. Hopefully the lions share of these will be done by Sunday but my database only goes back a year So if you have an account and don't recieve an email by 02/09/09 send us an email. (Please goto the contacts page at emumovies.com as I may change the FTP admins email address between now and then)

So I just wanted to make clear, EmuMovies is not gone, in trouble, or going away anytime soon. In fact I have big plans for 2009, and there should be some new goodies for our relaunch this weekend.

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive over the last few years, and please just be a little patient with this move. Hopefully it will be smooth!

Hi Circo, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your great service. I have been an avid user of emumovies for about a year, and it is a fantastic addition to gameex.

Good luck with your move, and I hope that your site and FTP server continue to expand in the future.

Thanks, Already moved the main site and I'm starting on repopulating the private ftp. There will be some minor changes, cleaning up as I go :)

Maybe thats why Ive not got a response from you about gamesdbase.com. Could you check in with me about that? Ive been sending you emails through its development.

The site is live now, and yourll see the announcment here and on BYOAC. All 40,000+ pages link back to emumovies.

I was looking in the Atari 5200 section, will look again, but I love the site.

BTW EmuMovies.com is up on the new Server, need to fix the news page and the FTP is getting repopulated as fast as it can go. Comcast is gonna kill me :)

No problem, remember it's going to take some time to upload everything ugh!

But seems there have been a rash of site closings lately with video game content, images and such. I am looking to keep my ftp here in the US,, sorta hidden. But I have secured offshore hosting for the main site, I don't want to go down again. I called back my old provider and they wont tell me if thats why they shut me down but im not taking any chances.

I'm still working on setting up all of the ftp accounts again and login info has been going out. My DBase of accounts only has e-mails associated with it since last june :( so please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you have an ftp acct with emumovies from before that. You should recieve your new login info on the same day.

There was also an issue with logging in to the gamex secure order page for EmuMovies. This has been fixed.

Yeah count me in for needing setting up on the FTP too whenever you get a chance. The login works but not the pass. I just need to get some of the MAME content, as Im going to be adding arcade games to games database shortly.

yes and also from the home page, getting all the videos back up is the first priority and then the rest will follow :)

I was debating if I should point out the broken links the other day, but I figured they were pointing to the new server and the files weren't there yet. I noticed you have a lot of new content up there including Virtual Boy stuff. Nice work!
