Saturn Logo + Screensaver Stretching All Videos

Hello all. I have one request, and one question. I've spent an hour or so this morning fooling around with GIMP trying to create a Sega Saturn logo out of this image

post-3436-1232997684_thumb.jpg

I was playing with the fuzzy select and transparent layers and all that, and even though I would think I had it right, it would tell me every format I tried to save it in couldn't handle layers, so I don't know where to go from there.

Searched the forums and the Gameex\Themes\ folder for pre-made Saturn logos but didn't find any. Any of you happen to have one already made lying around?

Now, the question. I've got a video folder with various game commercials in it for use in the gameex screensaver. It works fine, except that even though all these videos are 4:3 aspect, gameex stretches them out across my whole monitor, which is a 1280x720 16:9 HDTV. Normal videos played through gameex directly maintain their proper aspect ratio automagically, so I can't find where the setting is to make the screensaver behave that way as well.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure the image has a transparent background and save it as a png file.
