Model 2 problem

Ok so heres the deal. I dont want to use Model 2 as part of mame or however gameex wants me to use it. I want to be able to just set it up like any other emulator so its with all my other emulators in the selection screen. Problem is i cant get the emu to start the rom i select when it fires up. I know there is a command line to run but its only to run each rom by it self and im not going to make a setup for each game. Is there a wrapper for the model 2 emulator anywhere i can get? Thanks

In the command section of the emulator cant you just use

model2.exe [rom]

romfilter *.zip

This way it works like all the others?

Just tryed it and nothing happened again. Problem is when you load up the emu you have to select from the file menu load then a screen comes up and you have to then select the rom you want to load. You cant just start it up like the other emus out there...

Launch the gameex advanced config utility. Go to the emulator and export your config so we can see it.

Im pretty sure the error lies there.

What version of this emulator are you using? Also could be that you're not pointing to your rom directory in the EMULATOR.ini in the following section:

;Add your rom directories here (max 10)
;ROMS subdirectory in the same folder than the exe is always scanned when searching for roms
;(remove the; form Dir1)
[RomDirs]
;Dir1=c:\Model2\roms

Latest version and my roms dir is fine... i can use the emu fine out of game ex...

Try

emulator_multicpu.EXE [RomFile]

or

emulator_multicpu.EXE [Rom]

or

emulator_multicpu.EXE "[Rom]"

LOL. The 2nd on you posted and the one I posted is the correct one. [ROMFILE] nor [ROM] incased in quotes will NOT work.

romfile would work in quotes if there were a space in the file name.. But then it would add the zip file extention.

Oh well I was only second guessing myself as I posted that exact fix a little higher in the thread (2nd post) but then it was reported not working.. But that turned out as you can see to be an error in syntax.

Anyways im not about to take your glory :) Thanks for the fix
