Hi i was wondering if this is at all possible When choosing a emulator say for exp a snes one.

There was a option to install from from DVD or CD roms.

You then Insert a dvd or cd with the roms on it and then gameex searches for the roms with the tag *.smc and then copys them into a pre defined folder for that emulator. The pre defined place could be set up with in the set up section of game ex as a option.

This would be good all so for upgrades of mame.

Later on you could set it up to all so do network install ect ect ...

The reason for this idea is once a cab is set up the user can install roms and upgrade roms with the least amount of trouble. If i was any good at coding i would implement it my self but since im not i thought it would make a excelent add on to gameex and again push the boundaries of the front end further.

This could just as easily be written as a script and added to GameEx as an application. The only thing is that the script would need to use arcade controls to interact with any dialogs rather than the keyboard and mouse. I personally would shy away from this since I log in remotely to set things up. However, for those that don't have their cabs networked, this could be somewhat useful.

Btw, this should be put in the stickied features request thread.
