Just curious, but what happens if you put the cabinet against a wall and someone hits the keyboard switch? Does it have any kind of "blocked window" shutoff? Some windows do that, but I wasn't sure if that was in the motor or an extra switch attached to the door. I'm just wondering if it pushes the keyboard through the wall or if it will stall out (those motors are freakishly strong from what I understand).

funny enough i am worried about that,,

but when there is pressure then the motor requires more power and hopefully the psu at 14amps will auto cutout

i dont want to test it though lol

and to slow it down wasnt needed

as its designed for 1 speed no faster

i might actually put a cutoff switch in the somewhere,

not sure how though

if u guys could put a price on what you think my arcade is worth ,

then i will tell u how much i spent on it

basicly what would u pay for it,,,"btw its not for sale"

i would never sell my baby

these r the specs

3ghz p4 ht

1gb ddr2

geforce 9600gso 768mb

1,5tb in total

21" crt

so it can play most modern games fine

i can get call of duty 4 on full graghics with no probs

oh and specify if u mean £ or $

Seems to me the plywood/mdf is one of the cheaper things in the project. Good plywood is $50 a sheet, and you can spend hundreds quickly on keyboard controllers, buttons, monitors all of which will need upgrading down the line, but hopefully your cabinet won't. I'd rather stick a used xbox one with a hacked gamepad and a 19" tv from a garage sale rather than skimping on the wood. You can easily swap the guts out for better guts later a piece at a time, you build a bad foundation, you are stuck with a bad foundation.

It levels out after a while. But at some point, you have to force yourself to be satisfied otherwise it will never be finished.

Also, I noticed you don't have a marquee set-up... make sure you leave yourself some room for one... you can't go without it!! :)

or

i could make it fold down into a bed

You might want something stronger than the window motor for that...

i was thinking of a 2 stroke or even a v8 if i want performance

Hmmm, I'd probably go with the V8 unless you want to deal with mixing the fuel and oil. ;)

good point

ur really thinking about this now

at least i got the steering wheels for it
