Snapshot first then video?

Hi All,

My apologies if this is covered elsewhere. I did search and could not find an answer.

Is it possible to display a snapshot while scrolling through the game list and then display the video preview only once a specific game is selected? This seems like it would be a good performance compromise. My vidoes display quickly, but scrolling the list is still noticeably slower than with only the stills being displayed. This is on a 3.0Ghz Pentium4 D, with 2GB RAM, FWIW.

It could be done, with a fair bit of tinkering.

First goodmerge your sets. Then either rename your still snaps to the same as the goodmerge names or download a set of stills which match the goodmerge naming (no brackets in the file names). Then use goodtools style named videos. They will only pop up on the info page and not in the list -- as GameEx will find an exact match for the goodmerge name first and display that still.

This is somewhat covered by the snap delay setting under tweaks performance in the advanced config app.

I appreciate the replies. It doesn't seem like snap delay really accomplishes what I'd like though, but I'm content with just stills for the time being
