Maybe my search skills are lacking, I have a rotating monitor and have mame set to auto rotate for vertical games. This works great, but it's a pain to have to rotate the monitor back horizontal to move around in gameex, only to have to move it back vertical if the next game is vertical. So how about sticky rotation as an option in gameex. So if you pick a vertical game, when you finish and exit back to gameex have gameex load up vertically, until a horizonal game is picked. Might need to be a 3 way toggle like mame, no rotate, auto rotate left, auto rotate right.

I guess I should have looked up, before I replied in the feature requests thread...

No you were correct to post here in the first place, This cannot be done currently with GameEx. I was saying (Not too clearly) that I could probably script something to do what you want, and if you wanted to pursue that as an option, to start a new thread. If you want to do that, give me some more ideas on how you think it might work (I hadn't thought of autoror, I'm not sure that would help anyway). Anyway, it's up to you, if you want to try it together, we can, or if you want to wait to see if Tom implements it, that's fine too. :)

We also have a thread to post pictures of cabinets, I'm pretty sure nobody has posted with a rotating monitor, If you want to post pictures of yours, It would make a nice addition. I always thought it would be cool to have it motorized, so it would rotate itself. If you had the skill to work with motors, it is also possible that we could make that happen as well... That would be cool!

Let me know...

I thought more people would be into this. I picked up one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=160296456452 off ebay, got a 19" 4:3 LCD monitor for $120 with free shipping from newegg, and $100 for a 5 wire touch screen kit for it. Bam under $250 rotating touch screen monitor. Now that it's this cheap to do, I thought many more would be interested.

If auto rotation is hard to implement, how about a way to assign a key to rotate, and a direction of rotation?

Hi

I dont know if this are a feature of my graphicscard or if its Gameex, but when i press tab on my keyboard, the screen rotates in Gameex with 90 degrees.

Have a nice X-mas

Sincerely

GameEx is supposed to use ctrl-TAB to rotate, but my system uses TAB as well. I'm not sure why ctrl isn't required, but it's a bit obnoxious really. If I try to alt-TAB over to another app, it rotates the screen. I end up using ctrl-alt-del and bringing up the task manager usually (when I remember).
