Sound Drop Outs in MAME

Hi,

I was playing a few games the other day and I couldnt help but notice some of the MAME games had choppy sound. Its only every so often but its annoying.

I have looked at other post and seen that if I remove the -tripplebuffer from the MAME command that sorts it. I have done that and its made no difference.

Any other idea would be top.

I have a powerfull core duo PC with 1GB of ram so I dont think the PC spec matters.

You need to make sure that is not enabled in your mame.ini as well. This is my favorite site for mame options:

Go through your mame.ini, and check it against the mameguide, you may have other options that you want to enable/disable.

you can also try out different versions of mame, like mame plus

just to check if the problem persists...
