For some reason, when I select a playlist in Gameex, it just returns to the screen with all of my music. My playlists work fine directly in Windows Media Player. Every other function of the jukebox seems to work well, but for some reason it refuses to let me work playlists. I had this issue months ago and just downloaded the new version of gameex - still no worky.

I have tried to go backwards and install old versions of WMP, I have reconstructed the database in WMP, but for some reason, I get no love with playlists. Is there some form of playlist that Gameex can't read?

I don't want my friends to hear my softer side when we are gaming, so I really don't want to put it on random over my whole collection!!!

Thanks for the info Wubble! I was using WMP11 and I switched to file audio tags. Now it doesn't even list my playlists. How does Gameex see playlists when using file audio tags? My playlists are in the same directory as the music is located.

I tried to put it back to WMP11 after changing it to file audio tags. When I selected one of the playlists in gameex, it was thinking for about 25 seconds and then (as always) it reverted to the whole list.

I would like to try and use the file audio tags, but what format do the playlists need to be in and where should they be located? I assume the same directory as the music?

Thanks!

What format must playlists be in for them to work in file audio tag mode? I have them in my music directory and gameex sees the music, but it does not see the playlists...

Thanks!

Nope... It is super frustrating...

Noone seems to know how Gameex handles playlists. I've asked several times. playlists work fine in WMP 11. They show up fine in Gameex, but when I select a playlist, the entire song collection is displayed.

Please let me know if you figure out how to fix it. I don't like having to always sit there and select a bunch of songs - would rather just select a playlist and let it play randomly!
