Showing Roms Experiment - Help

I'm trying to get round how GameEx chooses which ROMS to show.

I did a clean install of GameEx and MAME on a machine with NO roms.

I set the game filter options as below....

OnlyWorking=True

AllowImperfect=True

VerifyRoms=False

OnlyRoms=False

NoGameInfo=False

GameFilter=

GameFilterOn=False

Now with the option OnlyRoms set to False shouldn't I see all the working MAME games regardless of whether I have the rom or not? When I do an update list no games appear in the list.

I'm a bit slow on the uptake so if I've missed something obvious I'll crawl away into a corner and not bother anyone again

I get all working and imperfect games when I use those settings. In other words, works for me. Although I did not try with no roms.

wierd, i would have thought if you have no roms, then you have no games right.

else you have other games but not as a rom??????

then wouldent you just put them in seperate rather than through mame??

confused me anyway :-?
