Visual Pinball problem

I had to re-install Windows XP due to my hard drive went bad and now when I double click on a VP table (.vpt) it will not open inside of VP. VP runs but the table doesn't load. It did before the crash and all my vpt tables are associated with VP so I don't know what the problem is?

Fixed it .... problem with the file association of the vpt which I corrected and now back to working once again!!

Did that and it didn't fix the problem I went into windows explorer and changes the file assoc and that fixed it so now when I double click on a .vpt file it will run the table which is how I set up GameEx to run my tables and it works great by using shortcuts to my *.vpt tables and it runs them.

Hey, if it's works, it works! I think what HK meant was that Visual pinball is a program that actually installs itself on your computer. It sounds like maybe you copied the files over, or are just using the old drive. If you installed it, it would seem that the file association would have been taken care of...

Concure!! but that isn't what I did ... I did install fresh VP and double clicking the vpt tables was not working so I had to use my method. Like you said if it works that is the bottom line.

That's weird, you would have thought it would have assocated them correctly on install, I will have to try to remember that if someone else has a problem...

I know first time that has happened to me as I have done this many times in the past without a problem. Thank goodness I was able to fix it since VP is probally the most played thing on my system.
