I Need Help

I've been at this all day, i beat 1 mouse up and gave the other one a good crack but it still works.

Okay i've been reading here on which one to use and i've tried 3 now, Gens/Gens32surelue or something and Fusion. I like Fusion the best but i can't get the thing setup right. Here is what happends and my setup!

I'm using the SHELL program to hide windows compleatly.

I've got Snes and Nes setup perfectly along with videos and info and or what not.

When i launch a game within Gameex for Genesis i get nothing, almost like it goes to desktop.

This happens when i use Gens as well.

I've tried just about everything, i don't want to ever have to use a keyboard and or mouse (I'm getting low on mouse' now)

Can someone help me out?

I have Alt-F4 mapped in xpadder to close all windows so that with the tap of my R3 button on my xbox controller i head back into gameex. I have also mapped L3 and Left bumper to save states in my other emulators using Xpadder and custom mappings in various emulators.

Well its hard to help when you didnt post your config. WE have no idea where you are going wrong. Other than the fact its not working.

Please launch the gameex advance config utility and goto the genesis emulator and choose export. Then post your config here so we can tell you how to fix it.

Thanks for responding Brian, I figured out that is was the xpadder.profile for genesis that was causing the emulator to hang. I do however have a problem still though. I can now get the emulators to run fine but i'm bumping into problems in mapping. I was trying to get the emulator to launch a genesis profile for Xpadder, but it just hangs. I'm totally lost!

If i put Xpadder in the launch before startup of Gameex or at the same time as gameex, gameex will not load and hang. I NEED xpadder to load either on startup or after start up but i cannot figure out how to get it to load. IF i can manage to get xpadder to load i'm going to need it to change profiles when running ZNES & Fusion, you would think putting the profile "Genessis.xpadder" in the launch also in the emulator section would work, but it hangs the emulator and i gets black screen.

Why do i need xpadder? I need it to Map Alt-F4 to close the Apps (R3 Xbox controller), and to set save state (Left Bumper) Load state (L3 Xbox controller). Is there another way? Nestopia uses "1" to load which is mapped to (R3) and Shift+1 to save (Left Bumper). ZNES was nice and let me set it to what i wanted so no problems there. Fusion as these set to F5 & F8. I need to be able to change the xpadder profile so the same buttons when pressed on the 360 controller saves & loads state.

What a mess! I've been stomped all day. If you need anything just let me know and ill get and configs or info you need.

If anyone can tell me why i can't load a Program/File/Anything with Fusion without the program totally not loading it would be greatly appriciated. ZSNES/NESTOPIA/SNES9X all let me do it but FUSION/GENS/GENS32 will not!

Try removing the map file.

C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\EMU_2.map

Just delete the line from the config.

Actually just deleting the extension might fix it.... I wish that for Christmas, this bug gets fixed.

I think Tempest means:

MAPFile=C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\EMU_2.map

becomes

MAPFile=C:\Program Files\GameEx\DATA\EMU_2

I know the problem, it is when you launch a application along side of it. I simiple stoped loading Xpadder profile and it stoped the issue. The setup.ini i put here don't show it there cause i think i had it removed then. Works fine now!

I think i know the reason Fusion is a hard program to deal with, it changes the resolution of itself. I've been trying to figure out how to change the resolutions manually with no success, Does anyone know where or how to change its settings. I found overrides in the ini file but i can't pick heads or tails of it.

I managed to fix my Fusion issues, I downloaded a new version 3.6 and set the config GFX to 0. This unlocked resolution settings and stoped the screen flicker.
