Trackball stopped working in game

Any ideas? The trackball works fine as the mouse in GameEx and on the desktop, but when I start any game now it stops using the trackball. I checked MAME controls and everything appears to be fine and I didn't change anything, but it's not working in any game..?

check your mam.ini and see if its enabled in there,

Where is that at and what would I be looking for? I haven't made any changes to anything that would be related to trackball or mouse in MAME, so I'm completely thrown off with this. The trackball works fine until in a MAME game, then I can't use a trackball and the mouse doesn't register either.

Look in your mame folder for Mame.ini

Check this section:

You'll want to set mouse to 1, and if you have more than 1 mouse device (Trackball, spinner, etc) Multimouse to 1 as well...

In your mame options in Gameex, delete any options that involve the mouse, if there are any.

So far as it not working in GameEx, there is a setting called "Disable mouse" in input settings(1)

That worked beautifully! I don't know what I could have done to change that, but nonetheless my trackball is back to beautiful action! I've been waiting to buy a new illuminated trackball..I think I just may do it right now in celebration!
