Grouping MAME

How do you group another emulator with MAME as it doesn't have an emulator number assigned to it?

Reason I want to do this as some older version of MAME some roms have a bezel that the newer version of MAME doesn't and I want to create a new emulator for older MAME and group them with my regular MAME so they are all together but when I select those certain roms it will run the older MAME instead???

If you want to run two versions of mame, you'll want to use Bkenobi's Mame Loader:

There may be a different way to do what you are looking for, but if you want to run two different versions of mame from one list, IMO this is the way to go.

The only other option I know if is to use MultiMAME. This program is a loader just like mine, but it's a lot more powerful. The only real drawback is that you have to do a lot of work to set it up properly. My script isn't nearly as robust, but it will work just fine. I was basically trying put something together that would be an interim solution until Tom adds something directly in GameEx (if that ever happens).
