Show all roms?

I'm using Mame 0.100u1, but can't get all the roms to show up in the list.

What lines in the config file shuld be changed to allow showing of all roms. Including imperfect, non working, adult etc... (simply everything).

There are supposed to be 5783 altogether. I've changed some lines in the config file and I've gone from about 3300 to 5550, so there are about 200 missing.

Does anyone know?

you may have alot of roms, but not evry game may be mame compatible

also if you run catver, that will filter some out itself.

you can run mame in dos and it will show you the whole list of games

cant remember if there is a count tho

if a game is missing from catver.ini will it not show at all? afaik that just means cat information will be missing.

can you get king of fighters series to show up in gameex? i can't!

funny you should say that smiff i have all mame roms "expect some of the chd`s" but not all are showing "king of fighters" series are some of them ...

Hi Guys,

I am sorry if I am stating the obvious and that you have probably already checked this but "King of Fighters" series appeatrs in my main ganme list and the filter Neo-Geo list. It is displayed as "The King of Fighters" so it is further down the list.

Just thought I would mention it just incase this was the problem.

umm, thats a very good point, lol. ill check that when i have the system on.

that gives me an idea for a feature request, heading over there!

still, i think only 2/3 of neogeo games weres showing up in the neo-geo list, so something funny's going on.. will check all the obvious stuff again later.

Catver.ini seems to be the problem in my case. When I removed it, the rom count got up to 5780 (still 3 missing).

I'm having similar problems. I've disabled all filters etc I even tried allowing non-working games but still I don't get a full list. I'm missing lots of the Street Fighter series (including Hyper Fighter).

Any suggestions anyone?

some of the roms are bios and why would u want those to show up?

and do u have all the roms for that version?

us clrmamepro to check if the roms are older verision or even bad

For me, I was running an older version of GameEx (when I say old I mean you had to edit the config files manually) with MAME 0.90.

I had some 3000+ Roms in my game list.

I upgraded to the latest version of GameEx and Mame 1.0 and now my rom count is around 2000. I no longer have Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting (to name one) in my list although it is in my roms directory.

I turned all the filters off and still no luck.

Could someone tell me what filters they have turned on/off to get hyper fighting to show up? If i can figure out why one game isn't working I'll try and diagnose why all aren't working.

run clrmamepro to test if those roms will work with 0.100

and its not 1.0

since .90 is kinda old i think u need to update a lot of ur roms to work with 0.100

there is a flood at alt.binaries.emulators.mame of all 0.100 roms are been posted there

I use another mame emu and show all games and works fine but gameex does not show all the same game or the game like the one 1000 some thing does not work what can i do go get it to work i like game ex cause of it's neo geo sub folder
