Is it possible that if I have a folder with USA, Japan and Europe roms in it that I can have Game Ex filter the folder to only display the games from a certain region?

It seem like sometimes I can do this in the rom filter slot ie. *(USA)*

rom file name

007 - GoldenEye (USA).zip

However it seems like I am only successful when there is no other filter added ie. *.cue even when using ;

For example Sega CD...

rome file name

Battlecorps (1993)(Core)(NTSC)(US)[!].zip

Filtering this file when I also have to use *.cue does not work, ie. *.cue;*(US)*

Am I do something wrong or is this a feature that can be added?

Thanks.

It does not work for whatever reason, I am not sure why.

I tried:

*.cue;*(US)* .zip

and even without the *.cue it does not work. Have you tested this yourself?

Like I said, its strange as sometimes it works. For N64 rom file name 007 - GoldenEye (USA).zip *(USA)* will filter my USA roms.

Yep, it works for me. I'm assuming your using GameEx builtin zip support, I don't use it at all, so I'm not positive on how it works.

It must be looking inside the zip files for the extensions, what do the contents of one of the zips look like?

Again, I could be way off track here....

It may be just as easy to move the regions into seperate folders, that's what I did.

So I have:

Saturn USA

Saturn Jap

and point GameEx at the saturn USA folder

A map file may also do want you want...

I use the zip support when needed from time to time but not for all my emulators but maybe you are right. For the emulators that I am not using zip support with, it does work but for the ones I am using zip support with, it does not.

In this case for Saturn I am using it and for N64 I am not.

For now I will sort them into seperate dirs till I can confirm the above.

Thanks.
