Xpadder (Game Ex Menu Issue)

I download and started to use Xpadder last night for my 360 controller, program is AMAZING! So far I love it!!! However I am running into a sort of strange issue with it and Game Ex that I need to look into a littlle more myself but this is really weird.

In the Game Ex front end I have "A" button 1 sat to select and "B" button 2 sat to back but when I use my 360 controller the buttons swtich around a little almost like I don't have them sat correctly but I do (I think). On my control panel everything is fine but on my 360 controller, it's almost like I don't have the buttons program correctly.

I guess what I really need to do is open note pad and double check.

I'll report back. It is so stange that it is even hard to explain what I am trying to say.

XPadder will highlight the button when you press it so you know what you are pressing. Just make sure that button is set to send the correct button. I can confirm that XPadder works just fine with GameEx.

Yeah I am going to go over everything one more time when I get home and make sure it is all correct. I know what you are saying and lasted I looked, everything seemed to be programmed ok.

How well does Xpadder work with multiple profiles? I want to be able to use it when I get my control panel and the reason I ask is because I am going to have two U360s as well as my Xbox360 controller. I want to be able to use these all at the same time, well so to speak I want to be able to pick any of them up to control whatever it is I am doing.

I must admit I have ran into some strange issue but this here has got to take the cake. It's so strange I don't even see how it is possble.

As I somewhat stated above I am using Xpadder. A and B on my 360 controller are programmed to A and B keys, both confirmed in Xpadder and now in note pad. In Game Ex select is sat to key A and B is sat to back confirmed and working on my X-Arcade and also in note pad. In the menus in Game Ex my X-Arcade works fine but on my 360 controller A and B don't. Now A has become B and B is now D but only in the menus and only on the 360 controller!

I also just notice now that in Mame my buttons are not working correctly with my xpadder either.

I guess this is not a Game Ex issue but some sort of conflicting issue. =[

Have you tested emulators and MAME? If it's just for navigation then it's being conflicted with GameEx Input settings.

The keys presses are turning up as joystick commands in mame as well. Is there anyway to turn off maybe joystick support in Mame and Game Ex, maybe that is the problem?

...or maybe I just have to map the joystick commands as well in Mame?

I guess I thought when xpadder was running it over rode any joystick commands, maybe I am wrong.

I see what is happening with the Game Ex menu, I just need to configure the joystick keys correctly in there for it to work in the menus in Game Ex but the thing is, why isn't Xpadder able to handle all this? It seems like it is working in someway like the nav. of the menu but not correctly with the keys presses...

I only use xpadder for emulated systems that I need it for and that's not that many. You're doing it globally which is possible. Just need to tweak certain things. I've never had any experience with using xpadder in MAME. So will have to wait for someone to jump in on that one. Just map it with the joystick and you're good to go though. I guess that setting needed to be on to be recognized by GameEx so at least that's fixed.

I guess I had just thought that when Xpadder was running it cancelled all joystick commands for whatever you have sat up in it, I guess that is not the case.

I know if I don't have Xpadder loaded and I run my NES emualtor, the keys don't work but when I have it running, it works great.

"shrug" I guess it works for something and not others.
