[OT] Emulators you guys cant get going

Guys,

Lets get a list of "incompatable" emulators with gameex. Example would include emus that are mouse driven and dont have CLI support.

I cant make any promises we can get all of them going but I'm sure we can get some resolutions. In part this will make GX more compatable and user friendly and will ensure our wrappers db are up to date.

I know there have been a few threads about what are needed in current wrappers and a few new wrapper releases. This is our chance to get them compiled and resolved.

Please if you authored a wrapper post it here (or at least link to it) So I can get these compiled and get your stickys and site current.

Great topic Brian!

Here's a list of a few and I'll continue to update. I have verified these and some of these have been filled. As this list grows I'll then link to where the wrapper can be found.

Will submit configs and map files if needed. Also I'm working on a wrapper that will handle all of these emulators. Should have at least some of these working by tomorrow. Also just downloaded new version of ParaJVE and command line parameters are still set through the bat file so this emulator will still require a wrapper. I'll have to edit my wrapper to handle the new parameters.

Sorry but I had to remove the wrapper because it's probably one of NoLogic's and we do not allow them here anymore.

I have been working on my universal wrapper recently so when it's released hopefully I can get some people together to test it on some of these emulators to get it working with them. I'll be adding the necessary features as we need them to get each one working. Some may require custom code so I am probably going to have a system that "auto detects" emulators based on the name of the exe. The wrapper is pretty much ready for release but I need to finish off the GUI system for it. Stay tuned!

It's cool man. i asked for the wrappers. I didn't realize it was Guy's. NoLogic specifically asked his loaders get removed from the servers. At his request we don't use them.

Frequency whats the contents of the Bat files this emu needs.

Ben, I look forward to seeing what you come up with and it would be good to test with these troublesome emulators.

And sorry about not explaining things properly Arjen you wern't breaking any rules it's just that NoLogic asked we remove his wrappers from here so we did. My guess is most of the *_Loader ones were by him. But as Brian said nothing we can't write ourselves we have plenty of confident scripters and coders here. Basically I tend to write wrappers as I need them and I've never got around to trying out all of them. It's not my goal to have every emulator under the sun running on my cab but I'm happy to help out out where I can.

NullDC is already working in GameEx. I don't have an IPAC so not sure how support is needed. Someone who is familiar with IPAC i'm sure can get you going.

I have NullDC currently working on my setup as well as NullDC (Naomi). Soon I will be getting an IPAC setup so I am going to have to deal with it at that time, currently I am using wappers for both.

3DO and Turbo CD seem to both be issues, atleast for me they are.

Turbo CD I have the timing issue that Ben is currently helping me with and I think 3DO needs some sort of loader or wrapper to work.

I am also trying to get the UnECM working with PSX which I have not been succesful in doing so yet. I have PM'd the writer of the post here but I have not heard back from him as of yet and it has been a little since he was last on.

Wasn't a shot at all. Some of my posts were removed as well. We'll wait for Brian to jump in to explain his reasons. It's his thread. I don't mind as I figured that was the reason but I could be wrong.

Ya I can wait it out. I was just trying to keep the thread as on topic as possable.

Usually if something is wrong I tend to edit the offending post and make a note followed by my initials.

If you do notice a post missing from this thread its because it doesn't have a config or a wrapper or a emulator request.

A good example of what will get deleted (in a week) is this post and my reply. As it doesn't fit into the above catergory.

I am using the most recent version of NullDC (the previous one had the same problem also). I can go into maple and set the keys to whatever I want and it does except everything just fine, but when you try to play, almost all of the player one buttons do not work. My IPAC is using all the default settings and works perfectly with MAME and most other emus.

Ive had that issue before.

See Ipacs are set standard to MAME default keys. Mame likes to use Shift,Ctrl,Alt,space, etc..

NullDC doesnt like those keys. Even if you assign them it wont use them properly.

I personally used the winipac utility and remapped my keys to more standard keystrokes.

Not only does it help NullDC I find my windows doesnt do funny things when people mash keys.

eg alt+ what ever does funny stuff.

So you can do that.. Or use a AHK script to remap those keys to others for that emu. Then tell the emu to use the other keys.

Id go with the first recommendation though
