Thanks for the location Frequency!

Also thank Tom! He's the one who told me where it was. I never knew this feature could be turned off. I like it on when I'm going to leave GameEx running but when testing I don't want to wait for it to happen every time. Glad there is a way to disable. However let's also see if there is any improvements on it since Tom made some adjustments.

Oh, I see how it is. Tom will tell you and I have to wait to hear 3rd hand? I didn't realize I was getting grouped with Tempest these days ;)

Don't say that! That's not funny! LMAO. That's an insult if you ask me. But since you weren't asking me I thought I'd be a pal and tell you anyways. ;) Tempest is in a group all on his own. :P

Frequency already knows, but the ISO issue is fixed in 9.69 (available).

For the Game Info delay. I did try to make some optimisations in this release. Can you try for me please. It will take affect the second time the game info page is accessed for the first time.

If its still slow, can you post your logs so I can get a better idea.

Cheers.

I should have timed it before but on the 2nd time it doesn't seem to have any speed increases however to me it seems it's faster overall which is good.

Has anyone had any luck getting NEC TurboGrafx CD to work with this new feature? I am still having to use daemon tools lite.

Works just fine! Was the reason for needing to be updated cuz of the way TurboGrafx CD Images are handled.

I meant the first time for the second time. I mean do it once then restart GameEx. Then do it.

Any better?

You mean I'm not a member of the "Ivory Tower" group???

That's what I meant as well. I started and timed it 32 seconds (using the log) and then restarted and timed again which was still about 32 seconds. Give or take a 1/10th of a second. So the second time wasn't any faster than the first time for me. However it seems a lot faster overall. I use to wait more than that. Don't know how much exactly though cuz never timed it before I updated to the new version. I still would say it's an improvement.

OK good, thanks.

Here is another update. With another little opt. Hopefully headkaze and the others can test to, once they stop fighting over who I love the most. LMAO.

EDIT: I really do need to get this running as fast as possible. In the next release or so, your not going to be able to turn it off. Its going to be core to the enhanced database support and global games list.

Sorry Guys - I must be a bit dumb.

I cant get turbografx cd to work

According to the default config the command line should look like this:

pce.exe "syscard3.pce"[-virtualdrive-]

It doesn't work for me? My virtual drive is the letter M. All I get is the turbographx cd player that launches.

How exactly should the line look?

pce.exe "syscard3.pce"[-M-] (is this right?) - Also that "syscard3.pce" doesn't work. Please help this is driving me nuts!

That is the correct command-line and is working. If it's loading to the cd player then it's obviously not reading that game right. Might have to do with your "syscard3.pce" issue maybe. Do you have that file in the emulator directory or are you pointing to it in the pce.ini file? That file is required for booting the game. The second command-line you have is incorrect. If it's not calling the correct drive letter then make that change in the pce.ini.

Headkaze, can you test please? (with the attachment above).

No difference for me I'm afraid :( I counted 87 seconds instead of 89.

If you need any help with techniques on speeding up the loading of the databases let me know I probably have a few ideas that might improve things. Shoot me off an e-mail if you want to discuss it.

pce.exe "syscard3.pce"[-virtualdrive-]

It doesn't work for me? My virtual drive is the letter M. All I get is the turbographx cd player that launches.

How exactly should the line look?

pce.exe "syscard3.pce"[-M-] (is this right?) - Also that "syscard3.pce" doesn't work. Please help this is driving me nuts!

I am having the same problem as you.

Command line is: pce.exe "syscard3.pce"[-virtualdrive-]

All I get is the CD player dash.

I have tried multiple games now that worked with my other setup using Daemon.

Seems to be unzipping the games ok but not mounting the image.

Also if I mount the image outside of Game Ex, run Magic Engine it comes up under Boot CD and works fine.

So my issue is def. not a card issue.
