Need help with Trubographx CD please

I cant seem to get this to work with turbographx cd. Anyone have any luck? - This is how I used to do it with daemon tools lite:

Command=Pce.exe -cd:M

LaunchBefore="C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -mount 0,"[RomPath]\[RomFile]"

LaunchAfter="C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -unmount 0

With the new CD feature the default config for turbographx cd is

pce.exe "syscard3.pce"[-VIRTUALDRIVE-]

and the filter is *.iso

Now with my experience with the magic engine emulator I cannot get it to work with "syscard3.pce" in the command line and the filter has to be *.cue

So assuming my virtual drive is M

should I use:

pce.exe [-M-] with a filter of *.cue - It doenst work for me. I had to reinstall daemon tools lite because I had no luck. Please can someone who has actually got it to work with this emulator please let me know the proper way to do this.

And yes I have the vitrual clone drive installed. Much THanks

What are your results when running this setup? Does the emulator load?

Tested Turbographx CD and could not get to work but was successful with other systems. My results are that it won't load the iso for this system. I get this in the log:

Unable to mount ISO. Did you install ISO Support when installing GameEx?

I can manually mount it just fine and also I tested mounting via command-line and was successful. So might need Tom to take a look at this.

I'll be the one to say it here, why did't you use Daemon Tools Lite? It's free and seem like a better program than Virtual CloneDrive... Virtual CloneDrive seems to do the job as I was able to load Saturn Games last night with the help of Freq., but I am just wondering why you decided to go with this other program?

Hey Freq., any luck with Turbo CD yet?

??? and ?

I was simply saying Daemon Tools is a much more across the board used program than Virtual CloneDrive and both are free. It has more support and supports more types of files. Although Virtual CloneDrive seems to work, well at least for Saturn games I have yet to get the Turbo CD games to load, it seems like Daemon would have been the more acceptable choice here.

DeamonTools is not a standalone program and depending on the license "free" doesn't always mean "you may distribute our software along with your own". Otherwise people would just create spyware and bundle it with Daemon Tools. I don't know what the license is but Virtual CloneDrive might be more flexible about this sort of distribution or perhaps Tom has purchased a distribution license.

It still does load all the databases the first time the game info page is accessed. So it might be right. How many emulators do you have setup? Can you turn off the Other Systems feature, and see if it stil does it. Is 1 minute accuracte?

I only have ~10 emulators set up and it takes ~1 minute to load the Game Info screen the first time I start up GameEx. It is much quicker than that every other time I go to the Game Info screen, but the first time it does take a LONG time. Is there any way that you could have it cache the current system first, then load the screen so that we can continue working, then (in the background) cache the other systems? It may result in a performance hit, but at least we wouldn't have to wait quite as long. Just a thought.

Fair Enough.

Nope. It just won't mount the ISO no matter what I do. I can only do it manually through the program itself or through the command line. We need Tom. I'll help you put it back to daemon tools for the time being. It's an easy fix. ;)

Encountered a change since version 66. When I start GameEx, I have a intro video that plays randomly. In the past versions, the user could hit the escape key and it would exit the video and complete the startup for GameEx. Now when you hit the escape key, the intro freezes and you have to control /alt/ delete to get out of GameEx.

These reasons.

1. It seemed "Free'er".

2. Ive read reports about Daemon tools containing spyware. Dont know if its true

3. I tested vritual Clone Drive and it worked exceptionally well, and integrated perfectly.

4. Its a much lighter install, taking up little resources.

5. It integrates very well with both the GameEx install and GameEx.

6. No issues on Vista I could find.

Is it a standard ISO file? Ill post a debug version shortly.

Working fine for me.

The only changes I made were GameEx now will load gameexisloading.avi from the themes folder if it finds it.

It will also exit gameex if you close the window while its playing a video.

Im guessing its something to do with the format of the ISO. Can you post what the file and directory contents look like on one of those ISOS.

EDIT: Frequency can you email me pleaae (or pm if cant do email).

Thanks.

Tom.

If you disable the other systems feature, it wont do this.

I was thinking this myself but I tried several different games and still no luck. Visitor Q and smbergie200 was unable to run them as well. That's why I thought that maybe the Turbografx CD's wouldn't work which is why I tried to mount them manually via the gui and from the command-line which both worked. My result using GameEx gave the error in the log that I posted. So let me know what you want me to try.

Here's a picture of the directory with one of the games in it.

Edit: Removed pic after seeing post about PM in case not to break any rules. ;)

I didn't know this either! Someone's slacking. ;) Well where in the world is it? LOL

Frequency already knows, but the ISO issue is fixed in 9.69 (available).

For the Game Info delay. I did try to make some optimisations in this release. Can you try for me please. It will take affect the second time the game info page is accessed for the first time.

If its still slow, can you post your logs so I can get a better idea.

Cheers.
