Upgraded and Gameex is flickering

Hi all,

[issue]

I just upgraded to the latest Gameex 5.09 and when I log in, my screen starts flickering(the nag screen is OK!). Its in the Gameex Menu that words are flickring. The whole screen does not flicker only the bottom half of the screen flickers. However if I downgrade to my old version of Gameex (Im sorry I dont remember the version) then it works fine.

Hi all,

Funnily enough I did some testing on a P3 700Mhz with a TNT2 card (same drivers) and got the same thing. GameEx ran full speed but I had the flickering. I have spent some time looking at this, but it appears to be the card. Perhaps an upgrade is due? these cards seem to be at least 5-6 years old. I can't think why the old version worked. If you look at the log for it it will say the version. That might shed some light for me.

I will install the older version of GameEx tonight and get you the logs for that.

You are right in that the card is old so maybe an upgrade of card is due.

The version that I was running prior the upgrade was 4.54

OK, I have a fix for it. It's still deffinitly an issue with the card/drivers, but ther'll be a setting in the next release to fix the flickering for you.
