Tempest Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 I wanted to be the first one to be confused... I know you like that about me! How does this work with the Ultrastick plugin? Does it work along side it? In place of it? Something else??? Quote
headkaze Posted November 5, 2008 Author Posted November 5, 2008 This is for Mame's built in analog to digital joystick mapping system which is very similar to UltraMap. The difference is Mame's auto mapping might not be what you want (for certain games like for QBert) so you can create custom maps using this software just like you can with UltraMap for U360's.The difference is, you have the following in mame.inijoystick_map autoAnd then using my software you write a [ROM].ini to Mame's ini folder for custom joystick maps. These override the auto system Mame uses to automatically map the joysticks. For U360's I would probably stick to using my UltraStik plugin but for others who aren't using U360's this offers another way to customise analog joysticks. Stub Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 You know this may be handy. I use u360s, but I am having an issue building my CP. It is a four player CP, but has second joysticks for the players one and two. But there is no way to address more than 4 sticks with the application. I was toying with the idea of making the second sticks the same ids as 3 and 4. But I am having issues testing. I may just use this instead. Quote
