need help with secondary monitor mode thanks

hi guys How do i get GameEX to run on my HDTV as a secondary monitor so the main menu where you select what u wanna play comes up on the tv screen because i've set it in the gamex configuration to run on a secondary monitor but only the mame rom shows up on the hdtv screen once it's loaded all the main menu for gamex shows up on my 19" syncmaster tft. i could do it by clone mode on my ati card but for some odd reason it's not letting me do that only extended desktop mode thanks for ur help

In MAME you need to use the command: numscreens 2

Don't know about GameEx short of running in Extended Desktop mode.
