Need Help with GameEX thanks

Hi guys I have set the Mame emulator up with GameEX and my wireless xbox 360 controller and assigned the buttons for insert coin etc and all that works fantastic. here's the problem though, I assigned the right trigger to exit a mame rom when i've finished playing it, it exits fine and returns to the main menu of GameEX but then once it has returned it closes gameex and goes back to desktop anyone know why this is happening thanks for ur time

The trigger is an analog control, correct? I'm assuming what happens is that when you press the trigger it starts sending escape until you let up fully. That means that it exits the emulator with escape and then sends it a few more times so when you get back to GameEx it will also see you hit escape and exit as well. There are 3 solutions I can make.

1) Turn off exit via escape in GameEx. I don't know where it is, but the setup wizard search feature should find it pretty easily.

2) Use a digital button on the controller. I think this a problem because the control you chose is analog. Digital should only send escape once (unless you hold the button down for a long time).

3) Write a script that will send escape for the emulator but not send anything if GameEx is active.

hi mate thanks for your help i really aprreciate it alot but i tried 1 and 2 that you said as i dont know how to write a script and still won't work I assigned the y button to exit a mame rom and it still closes GameEX and goes back to the desktop after it closes that mame rom
