I am having two separate problems that I don't know how to fix.

On my HTPC, I open video files and they become HUGE and I only see about a quarter of the video... the top left corner to be exact. It all works fine otherwise but I am having this odd problem. I am running it on a 42" screen and am forcing the resolution to 1920 x 1080. Before, I wasn't forcing the resolution and GameEx would only run in the upper left corner... I fixed that when I changed resolution but now I have this problem.

Other problem I am having is on my arcade machine. For whatever reason, some of my games stopped displaying. For instance, I have always had Puzzle Bobble/ Bust A Move in my favorites and it is now gone! The file is still there and I haven't changed anything but it is not listing anymore...

EDIT - One last problem: On my HTPC, when I go to configuration to see abotu fixing the problem, when I push the button for Multimedia/HTPC, the configuration Ap crashes. I am running Vista Home Premium... never had that problem before either...

I also updated to the most recent version of GameEx.

I wonder if theres a new driver issue coming to light here, with ATI or Nvidia. As there has been a similar post recently. What are you using? What type of video file is it?

In regards to the favorite, all I can think is that there has been update to MAME and the rom is no longer available in GameEx. Is it in the regular MAME list?

I will have to check... I should update my MAME stuff anyways. I will do that later today and let you know if it fixes the problem.

For the video, it is an AVI file. A normal video file... they all do it though. As for the video card... I wanna say it is an ATI. The odd thing is, I am creating snaps right now so I can't check but what is odd is that the video is playing in the upper left corner like it always does when I create snaps and it is displaying properly. I dunno why it would work there and not normally.

Thats normal for Create Video Snaps. It uses a different library. The underlying issue maybe related to the fact you cant run GameEx at the desktop resolution. Is the resolution set in the theme your using? I just updated my ati drivers on vista and I dont have any issues just so you know. Runs fine at a desktop res of 1080

I updated everything to 0.128 and it is still having the same problem... not displaying everything. I am clueless here.

Ok I switched the thing back to "GAMEEX Will not change resolution" and it is doing what you see in the picture. The funny thing is that the videos play just fine now.

Very strange, Im really not sure what to suggest, sorry. The only remote thing I can think to check is youve not set GameEx to rotate.

Have you checked to see if you have the screen resolution set at 16bit in GameEX Setup but have your windows desktop (set in windows) set at 32bit (or vice versa) ?

:)
