Hi, I also use the wireless 360 and wireless gaming receiver and it sounds like its a hardware issue. With mine its automatically calibrated. If you own a 360 and the controller seems to operate correctly on there, I would say its an issue with your wireless gaming receiver then. To be honest, people have lots of trouble with the little thing. A quick search on the net will show you we're not alone.

For me, my problem with the receiver was upon plugging it in, it no longer allows operation of any logitech products, or my razer copperhead mouse. Even if I were to have all those unplugged and to just have the Wireless Gaming Receiver plugged in, it still would not allocate my controller to slot 1. the only solution I have found for my problem is to put the wireless gaming receiver behind a usb hub.

A USB hub is a device that splits off one usb port to a number of usb ports. This allowed me to use my razer copperhead mouse simultaneously with the WGR. It also allowed the WGR to set my controller to slot 1 for use. It did not however let me use the logitech products I own.

Perhaps this will solve your calibration problem. If not I would suggest contacting Microsoft as it is their product. I found it nearly impossible to get in touch with someone. Word of advice, dont support MS, dont buy their products anymore, they're garbage. Good luck!

I have downloaded it and will give it a go, but I'm starting to think it might be a setting in mame because I can use the d-pad which is what I have it set too and it all wrks fine, but then when playing a racing game or like afterburner 2 it changes to the analog stick automatically and works fine
