I updated from 9.53 to 9.62 today, I uninstalled Gameex, deleted the gameex folder, and reinstalled manually. Gameex crashes without any obvious error. I get the microsoft "Gameex had a problem, and now your screwed" window. There doesn't seem to be a fixed amount of time that passes, or a certain screen that triggers it. I also won't swear that this was caused by the update (because I know how that pisses Tom off :P )

That seemed to work... so now what?

I was wondering if you would mind seperating the themes, and databases into 2 separate downloads. I took me 4 tries to download it because it kept timing out (thank God (and you)) that I could start back up where I left off... it still took close to 2 hours!

I did do stuff on the server earlier, due to obtaining gameex.com (see other post). So thats why you were likely having issues.

I guess we'll have to see what HK says about the issue with the plugin. The last version did update it. Hopefully its something simple for him.

The only thing I can suggest is if the plugin is causing GameEx to crash then to post the PlugInLCD.log file. There have been rather large updates to the plugin as of late. I was testing the plugin recently on my cab and didn't have any issues.

If others are having problems please report them here.

Hk - This is in response to your last PM:

If the plugin is causing the crash we really should get to the bottom of it. There have been some substancial changes to the plugin as of late, and it's quite possible there is an introduced bug.

The only thing we can do is have you test the older plugin and the newer one and check the PlugInLCD.log for any errors. If there is a problem please report it back here and I'll fix it ASAP.

I don't know if this is what you wanted me to do, but all I did was copy the three different PlugInLCD.dll, into the Plugins folder (one at a time), and then run GameEX.

In the Zip file are 3 logfiles, from Plugin LCD v2.78, v2.81, and 2.82 These are from a fresh install of Gameex9.62.

I also included LEDInputMap.ini and Profiles\GameEx.ini and Profiles\MAME.ini

I don't know if you remember, but my Gameex default buttons do not light in the games list, even though I have a tick in the box

to enable it, and my Mame default buttons do not light while in Mame.

I spoke to tempest on the phone. He is having isp issues..

He believes its not your pluging per say.. He noticed the voices arent working only MS sam works.

So apperntley its not your fault. But he said he will fill you in once he gets online.

Sorry Hk, no it's not the Plugin... For some reason the voices installed are not working, but it's definately not your fault.

The last thing I need to address was this:

I'm pretty sure it's not something I did, but I won't bet money on it. ;)
