possible gameex bug? karaoke not starting

hey guys,

does anyone else experience that? when i go into my karaoke library i see all the songs listed as usual but no song starts playing. nothing happens on selection...

i tried all sort of things but nothing seems to work...

is this just my setup or is that maybe an overseen bug in the new version?

Just tested and not working on this end either. Was workin before. But don't know when it stopped workin since don't use GameEx for karaoke. :(

so it's not just my setup!

theres a karaoke party comin up at my place because 2 buddys just finished uni.

Urgent call to tom, can you fix that easily? or provide me a link to an older version... can i even install an older version over the newer?

Working fine for me. In the last release I added support for an exernal video player. I would check this is not turned on.

weird...

i made an update after karaoke wasn't working

so it seems the problem was not only in the latest version. i will keep trying out things...

This looks to me that the Karoake plugin is not installed. You have to select it when installing GameEx. Did you do that?

i got a similar error!

while fooling around with settings and changing the karaoke dir gameex crashed and it said something with karaoke cache problem (sorry i don't remember the exact text)

i submitted the error though! Karaoke plugin is installed of course and it worked before....

Is it crashing there? Cuz mine doesn't crash. It just tries to load the file and then goes back to GameEx. Don't see how that log is complete since it stops right there and doesn't show GameEx exiting. When posting long codes instead of using the code tag use the codebox. So [ codebox ] ..... [ /codebox ]. No spaces between the brackets. Just had to type that way so it wouldn't actually create a code box.

anyway for me gameex doesn't do anything. i click on a file and nothing happens...

LOL. No prob. Well don't get why Tom's works and ours don't! LOL. Maybe Tom has a better version that he doesn't release to us. ;) But he did post an executable to try so he's looking into it.

I haven't heard anything chriss! You might wanna start thinking of another approach temporarily till it gets fixed. I'm still able to play using WMP so you might wanna give it a try. If not, then there's plenty of decent freeware apps out there. Not sure of any of them as I use a commercial one.

true... i thought about using other software.... but i gotta control karaoke with the arcade sticks (especially the page function i need)... so i think of installing an old gameex version!
