Hey Guys,

I was fiddling with my system and I wanted to clean up my Emulator list.

I know Game Ex has a Grouping function but is there anyway to make what I guess would be a Subgroup?

For example;

Right now if I group up all my Nintendo Emulators, it will show all the Games for Nintendo in one list.

I'd like to group all my Nintendo Emulators not the games.

So when I select the Nintendo Group I would see

NES

SNES

N64

and then selecting one of those would take me to its respective games.

I especially would like this for a Music Games Group but the problem I have is that for KaraFun I get a list of all the songs, but in that same list I have to look around for any other Music Game I have (UltraStar, Step Mania, Frets On Fire, Drum Machine...) so its pretty messy to have a list of playable songs as well as other "Emulators"

Hope that makes some kind of sense.

Thanks

Nelson

No, this is currently not possible. What you are describing is a custom menu system. That's been requested many times before, but it is not currently implemented and I don't know where that is on Tom's priority list.

On the other hand, I do have a suggestion that would be an interim solution. Rather than navigating to a menu for Nintendo, then selecting NES, then opening a game, you could have all of your Nintendo emulators listed next to each other. That would just require modifying the order you have your emulators set to (1, 2, 3, etc.). If you want to take it a step further, you could create an emulator called "-=Nintendo=-" that doesn't do anything and put it before the Nintendo consoles. Then, you could rename your emus to " NES", " SNES", " N64", etc. When they are listed in GameEx, they will show up like:

-=Nintendo=-

__NES

__SNES

__N64

(NOTE: The underscores are just for a place holder since the forum doesn't like leading spaces.)

Phantom,

This is a good idea; you should suggest it for a future update.

I made the request. Hopefully its nothing to hard to do once he gets done with all the other requests
