Hi, I'm running a dual screen setup, with the desktop extended over two monitors and I have GameEx run on the secondary monitor using the display option. Whenever I start an emulator, it maximises the game to the primary monitor. Does anyone know how to make sure the emulators start on the secondary monitor? Thanks

Apologies, after further digging about on the forum, I found lots of posts about this and that it's an emulator problem rather than a GameEx problem. If someone has found an all encompassing solution that doesn't involve changing the secondary display into the primary display, please let me know. Thanks!

Its a config in every emu. The only all encompassing solution would be to switch your primary monitor setting.

And yet......

I have the same issue. A lot of programs, like mameui and cpwizard are in fact NOT displaying on the primary monitor by default, but are always displaying on monitor 1. Monitor 2 is set to my primary.

Does anyone have a simple solution to changing the monitor number that windows assigns?

MAMEUI has a setting just for this. If you go into the properties for MAMEUI, there's a screen for video options and one of them has a selection for what display you want to use. I haven't used it since it was called MAME32, but I'm sure it hasn't changed.

Found it and fixed it there "\\ \Display 2"

You would think "Auto" would default to the primary monitor....
