Preview Videos

Hi All,

Im setting up my arcade howeer I have run into a small issue, that i cant figure out. On all Mame preview videos (except for asteroids), I get a blank screen. I do not know if i have sound because i have not hooked up any speakers. I downloaded the ffdshow-20051129 codec pack however that did not help. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Is this through GameEx or in Windows? If you aren't able to view the videos in Windows, you won't be able to play them in GameEx (first basic rule of GameEx ). If the problem is in GameEx, can you upload your log.txt file. It may contain an error or something for us to diagnose the problem better.

ok, here is where i get a little confused. when i attempt to open a file in windowns (ex. 1942.mng), it will not open (i need a program that reads this format). I'd assume that is why gameEx will not open the file however my asteroids.mng file plays perfectly fine (only in GameEx). (that is the only one though) here is the log file if it helps

I'm not sure of the version of FFDshow you are using, but if you didn't download it from Gameex.net, then get the version from there.

I had similar problem with my avisnaps not playing or appearing in gamex and downloading ffdshow from gameex website just solved the problem.
