Use gamepad analog stick as mouse in ScummVM

Hi guys!

Since Flash finished the Scumm DB (great work BTW) I'm eager to setup ScummVM on my HTPC. I'm pretty proud to say that my box is stable enough that I can throw my keyboard and mouse in the basement and only use the Logitech Harmony to operate it (duh, I know that it is the point of an HTPC). But how many friends I know have a bluetooth keyboard always available to fix... one... more... thing... hehe

So, I don't want a mouse in my living room, and I want to play Scumm games... What are your impressions/suggestions of using a (Ex: Logitech DualAction) as a pointing device in Scumm games...

i don't know about using the analog stick as a mouse replacement... i still remember playing maniac mansion on the nes back in the days. back then i already wished i had a mouse to play it... adventure games are made to be played with a mouse!

have you considered using a trackball if you don't want a mouse? or do you just want to use one controller?

Great idea!

Maybe my idea sounds weird, but is there a company who builds gamepad with a small track ball that you can use with your thumb (something similar to some Internet Keyboard)?

I don't have a mouse with my setup... so I'm looking into ways on how to incorporate one... since i have an x-arcade it would make sense to upgrade to the tank stick with a built in trackball but then I think the controller wouldn't fit in my custom built x-arcade cabinet...

so a trackball in a gamepad sounds like a great idea! never heard of something like that though :)
