Could someone give me an example CMD for launching WinDVD 9 as an external player in GameEx?

It should already be in there as default, no?

More info: In the latest release there is an option to use external dvd software. WinDVD 9 is setup as the default cmd. At least it should be..

I browsed to where Windvd is on my computer. Now CMD reads "WinDVD.exe", but isn't there some other commands that should go on this line.

"C:\Program Files\Corel\DVD9\WinDVD.exe" "[dvd]"

Thats the correct command line for windvd 9 with the new feature.

It works. Thank you very much and keep up the great work!

I use WinDVD to play DVDs on disk using the command line above. When I select a movie, WinDVD loads, then plays the movie, but with no sound. When I open a DVD through WinDVD it loads fine with sound. Any ideas why it loads with no sound from GameEx?

Thanks!

any thoughts?

Sorry for the delay.

Ideally I need a log from a session where the reported problem has occured.

I do know Ive seen conflicts with audio with DVD players launched from GameEx, but I thought I had fixed this when launching from DVDs on Disk or Play DVD.

Hey Tom,

The log that I uploaded is from the problem event. I loaded GameEx, loaded a DVD then quit. There is no error message, or crash or anything. WinDVD loads, the DVD plays, there's just no sound. From the opened WinDVD I can open a DVD from folder and it loads the movie with sound. Closing WinDVD brings me back to GameEx.

Thanks for your help!

Sorry, got that wrong. Im not really sure what to suggest. Which version of WinDVD are yout using? GameEx does shut down its own audio system, as you can see in the log it reinitialises it.

It's winDVD 9. From your posts, it seemed it may be a problem with winDVD. There was a software update available for winDVD 9...I installed it. Now, when GameEx loads a DVD from disk using winDVD, there is some audio, but it is choppy. And still, when I open a dvd in winDVD from a folder, it plays fine.
