Registered, but now Ctrl+Tab isn't rotating the screen

I just registered GameEx and didn't change anything else, but now Ctrl+Tab no longer rotates the screen to 90 degrees. This worked fine (except for the nag text of course) before I registered. Any idea what is going on here?

I guess since you can see the game being launched in there, this might be a good time to mention that when I try to launch "Rescue the Beagles" I can hear the game, but I only get a black screen (runs fine when launched otherwise). The same thing happens to "Burn the Trash" and "Clean Asia." Any ideas there?

edit: I just noticed that it says "23:41:44.7 8/27/2008: Display is running at: 640x288 32bit color, 60hz" which is weird because I just double checked and I have it set up to run 320x240 (I'm running this on an LCD monitor for now, so I can't tell if it's out of range for a 15KHz monitor just yet).

I dont mean to disagree but its never been possible to run the display rotated at a resolution less than 640x480 unless GameLauncher mode is turned on. Sorry. Its also not possible to run below 640x264 unless using GameLauncher mode. It may be that the resolution is being set in the theme you are using.

As for the games with a black screen, set the show desktop option for the emulator/application.

Okay, I'll try game launcher mode. I had only gone out of that mode because the skin sucks (no offense). I suppose there's a way I can change that though right?

That was actually my first thought, and it didn't work. Let me see if game launcher mode has any effect on that though.

(Edit: Show Desktop thing did work for those games) In Game Launcher mode a new problem surfaced. I can't rotate the screen with Ctrl+Tab because Ctrl changes the list that is showing. ?

as something that you get for registering, but I have no idea what this advanced configuration file is. How do I do this? This is so I don't need JoyToKey right?

The Advanced configs are in: C:\Program Files\GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS

I had never looked at one before, so I just did, if you open one up, they look pretty self-explanatory...

You can enable the use of one in the emulator setup section in either the Setup Wizard, or the Advanced Configuration program.

Still having that problem with not being able to rotate with Ctrl+Tab in Game Launcher mode. Anyone have any ideas? I guess ctrl is mapped as one of the navigation buttons in this mode. Are the button mappings completely different in Game Launcher mode?
