Hi, I'm a new user of this fantastic program, I'm registered and very happy!

But, I've to suffer about a little thing... When I try to open a directory with video preview (so videos, games (mame, n64 ecc) I obtain not only a confused video, but also gameex itself resize to icon!!!

Please help me, what I've to do!

The minimizing is probably due to your codec. You are probably using the official divx codec which has a system tray icon that pops up on first use. When GameEx launches a video, the codec starts and it steals focus from GameEx which causes it to minimize.

The preview videos are probably wrong due to file naming. GameEx tries to match videos to roms the best it can, but if the two don't match EXACTLY, then sometimes it will get it wrong. The best thing you can do is rename your videos to the same as your roms. There are tools that can be used to automate this, but it may require a dat file.

Hi, thanks for reply  !

For 1 answer:

And what's your guidance? What's the best codecs for use in gameex for no problems?

For 2 answer:

I've don't explained well myself, the videos are perfectly matching, for confused I mean upside down...

How I resolve that? Maybe installing other codecs?

Upside down video is a codec setting. You need to go into the setup software for the codec and fix it. I wouldn't worry about it though, as you are going to want to use a different codec to fix the minimizing problem. Tom (the author) recommends the FDDSHOW codec available on the main GameEx download page.
